Scotland

Getting eight, twelve or sixteen golfers to Scotland sounds simple until you are the one juggling everyone’s tee times, the rooming list, the minibus and the WhatsApp group that never stops pinging. Golf Planet Holidays has been planning tailor-made golf trips since 1981, and a group break is exactly the kind of thing we take off your hands completely. You tell us the dates, the players and roughly what kind of golf the group fancies; one named specialist builds the rest around you.

That means real Scottish golf at venues we know and book regularly, from a Highland base near Inverness to the heart of Perthshire, with prices from £415 per person. No fixed coach-party itinerary, no compromises forced by a brochure: just your group, your courses, your pace. And because we are an enquiry-based specialist, the first thing you get is a conversation, not a checkout.

One specialist, every detail, from first enquiry to final putt

The hardest part of a group golf holiday is never the golf. It is the logistics: sixteen handicaps wanting compatible tee times, who shares with whom, getting everyone from the hotel to the first tee and back, and keeping the lead organiser sane through all of it. With Golf Planet Holidays, one named specialist owns all of that for your group.

Your specialist arranges the tee times, builds the rooming list around your pairings, coordinates the transfers between hotel and clubhouse, and sequences the courses so the week flows. If something needs changing the week before you travel, you call one person who already knows your trip inside out, rather than starting again with a call centre. For larger societies and corporate parties, we can also arrange hosted and escorted group tours, where a representative helps keep the days on the ground running smoothly so nobody in the group has to play tour manager.

Where your group can stay and play

Scotland gives a group of friends or colleagues an embarrassment of choice, and we build trips around hotels and courses we book regularly. For a Highland base, the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness puts you within easy reach of two of the north’s finest tests: Cabot Highlands, the modern Inverness links and parkland complex, and the storied Nairn Golf Club on the Moray Firth. For a Perthshire trip, Dunkeld House Hotel sits among the trees and rivers of the county, while The Gleneagles Hotel, Spa and Golf is one of the most famous golf-and-leisure resorts in the world, ideal for a group that wants the full occasion.

From a Perthshire or Tayside base your specialist can mix in Blairgowrie’s celebrated Rosemount course, the parkland of Murrayshall near Perth, and Downfield in Dundee, a championship course many visitors are surprised by. Whether your group wants three rounds in three days or a more relaxed mix of golf and good evenings, we shape the rota around your players rather than the other way round.

What's included, and how the booking works

Group trips with us start from £415 per person and are quoted ground-only and tailor-made: your hotel, your rounds, transfers and the planning of one named specialist, priced around your exact dates and group size. Because every quote is built to order, you see a price that reflects your real trip, not a headline rate with surprises attached. We bill in GBP, so there is no currency guesswork for UK organisers.

Every booking is ATOL Protected, and your money is held in trust with PTS until you have travelled, so the lead organiser collecting deposits from the group can do so with genuine peace of mind. Flights are not part of the ground package, but we can arrange them as an add-on when it helps the group, which is particularly useful for North American golfers wanting Scotland and a single point of contact for the whole trip rather than booking transatlantic flights and a tour separately.

Frequently asked questions

What group sizes do you cater for in Scotland?

We specialise in groups of around 8 to 16 friends or colleagues, which is the sweet spot for sociable golf, sensible tee-time blocks and shared transfers. Larger or smaller parties are welcome too; just tell us your numbers when you enquire and your specialist will plan accordingly, including hosted or escorted group tours where it suits.

Can different players in the group play different courses?

Yes. Because every trip is tailor-made, your specialist can vary the schedule so, for example, the lower handicaps take on a championship test like Blairgowrie’s Rosemount while others play a gentler round. We build the rooming list and tee sheet around how your group actually wants to play, not a one-size-fits-all itinerary.

Is my group's money protected, and how do I pay?

Your holiday is ATOL Protected and your money is held in trust with PTS until you have travelled, which matters when one person is collecting payments from the whole group. We bill in GBP and the booking is enquiry-based, so you confirm a tailored quote with your specialist rather than paying through an automated checkout.

We're travelling from the US — can you help with flights?

We can. Our packages are ground-only and tailor-made in GBP, with flights available as an ATOL Protected add-on. For North American groups that means one specialist coordinating your Scottish hotels, tee times and transfers, plus your transatlantic flights if you want them arranged together, rather than juggling separate bookings across time zones.
