Let’s be honest about one thing up front. The golf on a ladies’ golf holiday is the same golf anyone else plays. Same fairways, same greens, same wind off the sea on the back nine. What we actually pick for is the stuff around the round: how warm the welcome is at the pro shop, whether the dress code is relaxed or starchy, how easy it is to get from the airport to the first tee without a fuss, and what there is to do on the days nobody fancies eighteen holes. That last point matters more than the brochures admit. A good ladies’ golf trip, or a women’s golf group break, usually has a mix of abilities in it, and at least one person who would rather have a spa morning than chase a four-hour round. So we look for resorts that hold both ends. Below are three destinations we send women golfers and ladies’ groups to most often, and the specific resorts we book at each. Everything is tailor-made and ground-only, so you build the trip you want rather than the one a package decided for you.
Ladies' golf holidays in the Algarve, Portugal
The Algarve is where most first ladies’ golf groups end up, and it earns it. The flight is short, the transfers are quick, and the courses are forgiving enough that a mid-to-high handicapper has a good day rather than a long one. English is spoken everywhere, the clubs are used to mixed groups, and almost every resort pairs a course with a spa and a pool, so the non-golfers in the party are never stuck for something to do.
If you want one standout, Pestana Vila Sol in Vilamoura is the one we book most for women’s groups. It sits in pine woodland a short hop from the Vilamoura marina, the course is generous off the tee, and the resort spa is a genuine reason to skip a round rather than an afterthought. 7 nights from
Women's golf breaks on the Costa del Sol, Spain
Spain works well when the group wants a bit more beach and town life alongside the golf. The Costa del Sol and the stretch down towards Cadiz give you long stretches of coast, plenty of restaurants within a taxi ride, and resorts that are comfortable hosting groups who play three rounds and sunbathe the other four days.
The value standout here is Montecastillo Resort Hotel near Jerez, a Jack Nicklaus course attached to a hotel with a proper spa and a relaxed feel, 7 nights from

Ladies' golf holidays in Belek, Turkey
Belek is the one to consider when the group wants the all-inclusive, everything-on-site version of a golf trip. The resorts are large, the spas are serious, and the buffets and pools mean the non-golfers genuinely don’t need to leave. It’s a longer flight than Spain or Portugal, but the courses are excellent and the value, once you factor in what’s included at the hotel, is hard to argue with.
Our pick for a ladies’ group is Voyage Belek Golf and Spa, which is as much a spa-and-pool resort as a golf one and tends to keep everyone happy whatever their handicap, 7 nights from

A big thank you again Simon for organising our latest trip, this time to Quinta Do Lago. Your recommendation to include Ombria was well worth it ,you might need a few spare balls but it is a great course in the making and worth a visit.…
Frequently asked questions
Do these resorts have relaxed dress codes for ladies' golf trips?
We deliberately steer towards the relaxed end. The Algarve, Costa del Sol and Belek resorts we book are used to groups and comfortable with smart-casual, so nobody spends the week worrying about collars and starchy rules. If a particular club has a stricter code we’ll flag it before you book.
What is there to do on non-golf days for women's golf groups?
Plenty, which is why we pick for it. Pestana Vila Sol and Barcelo Costa Ballena have serious spas, Belek resorts like Voyage Belek and Gloria Verde are spa-and-pool resorts as much as golf ones, and Vila Gale Tavira and the Spanish coast give you beaches and towns within easy reach for the days not everyone plays.
How much do ladies' golf holidays cost per person?
The ground-only prices for the resorts here run from
Is the Algarve good for a first ladies' golf group trip?
It’s our usual first recommendation. Short flights, fast transfers, English spoken everywhere and forgiving courses make for an easy week. Pestana Vila Sol in Vilamoura is the one we book most for women’s groups, with Morgado the better-value option and Vila Gale Tavira the quieter, beachside choice.
Can you arrange flights with our ladies' golf holiday?
Yes. Golf Planet Holidays is ground-only and tailor-made, so the prices quoted cover the hotel, golf and transfers. We can add flights as a separate ATOL-protected arrangement if you’d like us to handle the whole trip, but flights are never built into the per-person prices shown.
Which destination is best for an all-inclusive women's golf break?
Belek in Turkey. The resorts are large and the all-inclusive offering is genuine, so the spa, buffets and pools mean non-golfers don’t need to leave the resort. Voyage Belek is our pick for mixed-ability ladies’ groups, Sueno is the value choice with its own courses on the doorstep.
