Life away from the course at Address Dubai Marina
Lively city marina
This is the opposite of a quiet golf bolthole. Within a fifteen-minute stroll you have around 180 restaurants, 55 cafes and 30-odd bars strung along the Marina, plus a couple of malls. The beach is about a mile away, near Bla Bla for a late drink, with Skydive Dubai alongside for anyone keen to show off. SplashPad, ten minutes on foot, sorts the children. The one caveat: central Dubai is roughly a 26km taxi ride, so treat the Marina as your patch and cab it for anything further afield.
