Stay & play — fromAbout The Bay Course
The Bay Course offers an alternative set of golf challenges in a contrasting setting. It's just a few minutes by complimentary shuttle bus from the Westin and the Romanos at Navarino Dunes and even closer to the W Hotel.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, the par 70 course places a greater emphasis on strategic play and positional golf than The Dunes Course. The layout has changed now the amazing clubhouse is open. The level of challenge remains, with a lot of testing fairways and incredibly fast greens.
The Seaside, Canyon, and Grove holes are just three of the impressive holes that help to create a dramatic and memorable golf round. As with all the courses at Costa Navarino, buggies are included.
All four golf courses at Costa Navarino are consistently well maintained and there's a great welcome in the impressive clubhouse.
- Four great golf courses including The Hills and IOAC
- Panoramic clubhouse
- Buggies included in green fee
- Stay at the Romanos Hotel , Westin Resort Costa Navarino
- The W Hotel is the nearest to The Bay golf course.
Our take
The thinking golfer's course at Costa Navarino: flat, coastal, par 71, and far more about picking the right line than carrying the furthest bunker.
- Serious golfersTrent Jones Jr asks his questions with angles rather than length, and the sea breeze sharpens them. The rerouting for the new clubhouse has not softened the test one bit.
- Higher handicapsA gentler day at Navarino: flat all the way, water in play on only a couple of holes, and no forced hero carries. Most mid handicappers walk off with the card intact.
- CouplesA few minutes by complimentary shuttle from the Westin and the Romanos, closer still to the W, and easy walking throughout. This is the round to share rather than grind through.

What you are actually facing
The wind. The wind is usually north-westerly, averaging 12 km/h, gusting to 42. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
The water. 2 hazards in play. Bring a few more balls than you think you need.
The design. Robert Trent Jones Jr.

The course at a glance
The 17th — a narrow par 4 hugging the Bay of Navarino, water/shoreline down the right and heavy brush to the left, one of the skinniest par 4s in the world.
Part of Costa Navarino, named World's Best Golf Venue at the World Golf Awards.
