ABOUT THE COURSE

Somerset West Golf Club, near Stellenbosch, is less than an hour from Cape Town in South Africa. Somerset West Golf Club is one of several good golf courses in this attractive area, packed full of vineyards. The course originally opened in 1908 and has been redesigned to challenge the modern golfer without proving too testing.  The well-maintained fairways are narrow but the rough is not penalising as long as you don’t try anything dramatic! Watch out for the large water hazards on some of the holes but if you are on form you should return to the welcoming clubhouse with a good scorecard in your hand.
