About De Zalze Golf Club
De Zalze Golf Course is the perfect test for all golfers in a very attractive wineland setting. There's an enjoyable mix of parkland holes and the oak tree lined Blaauwklippen river, which winds its way through the immaculate Golf Estate, comes into play at various intervals.
If you want to spend some time exploring this area around Stellenbosch, the lodges on this wine estate are an excellent option.

Our take
De Zalze is the winelands round we point mixed groups to, Matkovich parkland with the oak-lined Blaauwklippen river winding through the estate.
- Higher handicapsMatkovich built this as a test for all levels and it plays that way. The river and the ponds appear often enough to keep you thinking without wrecking the scorecard on every hole.
- CouplesStay in the lodges on the estate and the whole trip runs from one place, golf, wine tasting around Stellenbosch and dinner at the clubhouse restaurant.
- Buddy tripsCards in your group will fray at the 6th and the 14th, so put your presses there. There is enough water about to keep the match honest all the way in.
