About Devonvale Golf Club
Devonvale is a magnificent 18-hole Championship golf course that needs little introduction. The original Ken Elkin layout has seen several improvements over recent years. This true country course is a regular challenge to both local and international golfers alike.
Surrounded by mountains and vineyards in this beautiful part of South Africa, Devonvale is a tree-lined curving course with sweeping fairways. You'll need to keep your head down to play well but sneak a look or two at the surroundings and the wildlife, including Springboks, who wander the course.

Our take
Set among the Stellenbosch vineyards, Devonvale is a flat, tree-lined country course that asks for straight hitting rather than muscle.
- Higher handicapsFlat all the way round with generous, sweeping fairways, so it will not wear you out. Water crosses your path more often than you expect though, so pack a few spare balls.
- SocietiesA true country course that takes a full society comfortably, no climbs to speak of and honest tree-lined golf, with the vineyards on the doorstep for the hours after the round.
