Dubai & Abu Dhabi golf holidays

Yas Links is the Middle East's only true links, a Kyle Phillips layout cut into the coast and ranked inside the world's top 100. Pair it with Saadiyat Beach's saltwater greens and the Abu Dhabi Golf Club clubhouse the European Tour made famous, then drive ten minutes back to the Crowne Plaza on Yas Island. January warmth, fast turf, and the sea on eight holes.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the modern golfer's winter escape: faultless weather from November to April, a cluster of European Tour-host courses kept in immaculate condition, and a standard of five-star hotel found almost nowhere else. Play the Majlis at Emirates Golf Club where the season's big names tee it up, the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates that closes the DP World Tour year, and the spectacular Yas Links and Saadiyat Beach in Abu Dhabi — then dine and relax at a level that makes the trip feel like a proper holiday.

We have arranged golf in the Emirates for years. Every itinerary on this page is hand-built and hand-priced around your dates, your group and the courses you want to play.

Why play golf in Dubai & Abu Dhabi

Tour-quality golf, guaranteed sun and five-star living in one compact, easy trip.

  • Winter sun you can rely on — warm, dry days from November to April when northern Europe is closed for golf
  • European Tour-host courses: Emirates (Majlis), Jumeirah Golf Estates (Earth), Yas Links, Abu Dhabi GC
  • Floodlit golf at several clubs — a cooler, atmospheric twilight nine
  • Five-star hotels and dining at a price-to-quality that surprises first-timers
  • Short-ish, comfortable flights on Emirates and Etihad, then everything within an easy drive

The courses you’ll play

The golf divides between the two emirates. In Dubai, the headliners are the Majlis at Emirates Golf Club (the Hero Dubai Desert Classic) and the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates (the DP World Tour Championship), with Dubai Creek, Dubai Hills, Arabian Ranches, The Els Club, The Montgomerie and Trump International rounding out a deep roster. In Abu Dhabi, the Tom Fazio-designed Yas Links ranks among the region's very best, alongside Saadiyat Beach and the long-established Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

You are never locked into one course — tell us how many rounds you want and we will build the rota around your hotel.

Where you’ll stay

We group the trip by emirate. In Dubai, the Marina hotels — Address Dubai Marina, InterContinental Dubai Marina and Stella Di Mare — put you near the beach, the restaurants and Emirates Golf Club, while Park Hyatt Dubai sits beside Dubai Creek. In Abu Dhabi, the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa is on the course, with Crowne Plaza Yas Island by Yas Links. Many groups split the week between the two emirates for variety.

Tell us your group size and budget and we will match the hotel to the golf.

Best time to play golf in Dubai & Abu Dhabi

The season runs November to April, when daytime temperatures are warm and comfortable rather than fierce — peak golfing months are December to March. From May to September the heat makes daytime golf hard work, though twilight and floodlit rounds remain an option. For a first trip, aim for the winter window: it is precisely when home courses are at their worst and the Emirates are at their best.

A sense of Dubai & Abu Dhabi

History & heritage

Beyond the fairways, the two emirates offer very different days out. Dubai is all spectacle — the Burj Khalifa, the souks of old Deira, desert dune safaris and the beaches of the Marina and Jumeirah. Abu Dhabi is the cultural heavyweight, home to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Yas Island attractions. A rest day between rounds is easily filled.

Food & wine

Dining is a genuine reason to come. From beachfront seafood and Emirati cuisine to a constellation of international fine-dining rooms, the standard is exceptional and the choice vast. Licensed hotels and restaurants serve a full bar, and a long lunch or dinner overlooking the Marina or the Gulf is part of the experience.

Beyond the fairways

Non-golfers and families are spoiled. Dubai brings the Burj Khalifa, world-class shopping, waterparks, desert safaris and the beaches; Abu Dhabi adds the Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld. Everything is modern, easy and a short transfer apart — ideal for a group where not everyone plays.

Getting around & exploring

You will use private transfers or a hire car — distances are short, roads are excellent and the clubs are an easy drive from the hotels. Dubai's courses cluster around the Marina and the Creek; Abu Dhabi's around Yas and Saadiyat islands, roughly 75 minutes from Dubai. We arrange the transfers and set the order so golf, hotel and rest days flow without fuss.

Getting there

Access is straightforward: Emirates to Dubai and Etihad to Abu Dhabi fly direct from the UK and beyond, with the two airports about 90 minutes apart by road. Many groups fly into one emirate and out of the other. Flights are an ATOL-protected add-on to any package, or bring your own arrangements and we will handle the golf and hotels.

Good to know

  • Book the marquee courses (Majlis, Earth, Yas Links) ahead in the December–March peak
  • Tee times are often early morning or twilight to avoid the midday warmth — we plan the day around it
  • Dress codes are enforced at the championship clubs; collared shirts and proper golf attire
  • Buggies are standard and usually included — we confirm per course
  • Splitting the week between Dubai and Abu Dhabi gives the best variety; we handle the mid-trip transfer
