Golf Holidays for Couples in Mauritius
Mauritius By The Golf Planet Holidays Team · Golf-travel specialists since 1981 · Published 1 June 2026 At a glance Is Mauritius a good golf holiday for couples where only one person plays? Yes. Mauritius is one of the easiest places to keep both halves of a couple happy. Resorts like Heritage Resort, Anahita and […]
You both want the same holiday for different reasons. One of you is picturing a morning tee time with the lagoon glinting beyond the fairway; the other is picturing a spa table, a quiet beach and a glass of something cold by mid-afternoon. Mauritius is the rare place that gives you both, on the same estate, without either of you compromising. Volcanic peaks behind, turquoise water in front, and golf good enough that the round is the highlight, not the apology.
Golf Planet Holidays has been arranging tailor-made golf trips since 1981, and a couple where one or both play is exactly the brief we like best. From £649 per person, we build the whole thing around the two of you so it feels romantic and effortless: real courses for the golfer, real downtime for the partner, one enquiry and we handle the rest. Prices are in GBP, holidays are ATOL protected when flights are included, and your money is held in trust with PTS until you have travelled.
Golf for the golfer, the island for the partner
The trick to a couple’s golf holiday is that nobody should feel they are waiting around. Mauritius solves this geographically. The big resort estates put a championship course, a spa, a beach and several restaurants within a few minutes of each other, so a morning round and a spa morning start at the same time and finish over the same lunch.
A typical day looks like this. The golfer takes an early tee time at Anahita Golf Course or one of the two Heritage layouts while the lagoon is still glass-flat. The partner has a slower start, a spa treatment, the pool, maybe a rum-and-vanilla tasting that the island does so well. By early afternoon you are both back together with the round told and retold over a long lunch, and the rest of the day is shared: the beach, a catamaran out to a reef, dinner somewhere with the sun going down. If you both play, even better, we simply book two and let the course be the day out.
The courses and resorts we actually use
We only put you on golf worth flying for. On the wild west coast, Tamarina Golf Club rolls between the mountains and the sea and feels like nowhere else on the island. On the calmer east coast, Anahita Golf Course threads along the coastline and the inlets. And Heritage Resort gives you two genuinely different rounds in one place: Le Chateau, a celebrated championship layout cut through the south-coast hills, and La Reserve, its more relaxed, scenic sibling, ideal when one of you is easing back into the game.
Around those anchors we can add the courses that suit your trip: Avalon Golf Estate up in the highlands, Mont Choisy Le Golf in the north near the best beaches, and The Links and Legend courses at Belle Mare Plage on the east. Whether you want golf two days in five or every day, we shape the stay and the tee sheet around it rather than handing you a fixed package.
Where our specialists would stay in Mauritius
Effortless, romantic, and looked after
Because it is tailor-made and enquiry-based, you never have to assemble this yourself. You tell us when you would like to travel, who plays and how much golf each of you wants, and we come back with a costed couple’s itinerary in GBP, from £649 per person: the resort, the rounds, the transfers, and the quieter touches that make it feel like a trip for two rather than a golf trip with a plus-one.
Flights can be added to any itinerary, and when they are your holiday is ATOL protected. For couples coming in from further afield, including the US, the long flight is a once-and-done part of a week or ten days, not a chore, and we will price it openly alongside the land arrangements so there are no surprises. And if you would rather travel with company, ask about our hosted and escorted group tours, where the golf is organised and the social side is built in but you still get your own time as a couple.

Frequently asked questions
What does it cost, and what is included?
Couples’ golf holidays in Mauritius start from £649 per person, billed in GBP. Because every trip is tailor-made we price your exact itinerary, the resort, your rounds at courses like Tamarina, Anahita or Heritage, transfers and any extras after you enquire, so you see what is included before you commit. Flights can be added and are ATOL protected when they are.
Can we book if only one of us plays golf?
Absolutely, that is the most common version of this trip. The resorts we use, including Heritage Resort, Anahita and Tamarina, pair the golf course with spa, beach, dining and excursions, so the non-golfer has a full holiday while the golfer plays. We build the days so you spend the afternoons and evenings together.
When is the best time to go?
Mauritius is a year-round golf destination, with the cooler, drier months generally the most comfortable for walking a course and the warmest sea for the beach side of the trip. Tell us roughly when you would like to travel and we will advise on conditions and the best-value dates for that window as part of your enquiry.
Is our money safe when we book?
Yes. Golf Planet Holidays is ATOL protected on holidays that include flights, and your money is held in trust with PTS until you have travelled. That means your payment is protected throughout the time between booking and your trip, not just spent on day one.
