• Serious golfersClassic risk and reward: decide when to attack and when to bail, and because the greens are large it is usually worth going for the pin; the 10th and 14th punish the wrong call.
• Higher handicapsThe big greens are forgiving once you reach them, which matters, because the hilly ground in between is not; the best part of 200 metres of climb makes the buggy money well spent.
• CouplesFive minutes from Los Monteros, with a terrace restaurant looking over the closing holes to the sea, so the hour after the round is as good as the golf itself.
