About La Quinta Golf and Country Club
La Quinta Golf and Country Club near Marbella is known for the firmness and speed of the greens on the challenging golf course. Designed by Manuel Pinero, there are 27 holes creating three good nines, so there are different combinations to enjoy. Our take
The talking point at La Quinta is the greens, firm and fast by Costa del Sol standards, with three nines to combine so a week on site never repeats itself.
- SocietiesThree nines give you a fresh combination every day without leaving the resort, and the flat ground suits groups of mixed ability. Warn everyone about the pace of the greens before the money games start.
- Higher handicapsThe walking is easy but the greens are not, so budget for three putts until you find the pace. Flat ground and 27 holes of combinations mean plenty of chances to learn them.
- CouplesThe Westin sits on the course, so one of you can play while the other takes the spa, and the wind is rarely a factor on this stretch of the coast. Marbella is close by for dinner.
