About La Zambra
La Zambra reopened the old Byblos, the hotel where eighties jet-setters and royalty came for privacy, as the Costa del Sol's quiet-luxury hideaway: blue towers and a white façade above the Mijas valley, the Patio Zarzuela courtyard at its heart, and a Michelin Key on the door. The Mood Spa runs to 2,000 square metres around a hammam and relaxation patio; dinner is unapologetically Andalusian at Picador, all-day Mediterranean at Palmito, and the sunsets belong to Bamboleo's terrace.
The golf is the closest thing to on-site the coast offers: direct buggy access straight onto Mijas Golf Club and its two Robert Trent Jones Sr courses, Los Lagos with water in play on eleven holes and Los Olivos the tighter, tree-lined test. Malaga airport and Marbella are each around half an hour.
