South of France

There’s a particular kind of holiday where nobody has to compromise — where one of you can be standing on the first tee at Terre Blanche as the morning light comes off the Esterel hills, while the other is unhurried over coffee, a spa appointment already booked, the whole afternoon still to come. The South of France does this effortlessly. Golf for the golfer; sun, vineyards, markets and the Mediterranean for the partner; and a long lazy dinner together to compare notes. From £495 (≈ €565) (≈ $655) (≈ CA$925) (≈ AU$935) (≈ NZ$1,145) (≈ CHF 525) per person, we build that week around the two of you rather than around a fixed package.

We’ve been arranging tailor-made golf travel since 1981, and the South of France is one of those rare destinations that rewards a couple as much as a fourball. You play courses that genuinely matter — Servanes at Mouries, Pont Royal near Mallemort, Saumane, Nimes Campagne and Nimes Vacquerolles — and you stay somewhere that makes the non-golf days just as memorable.

Golf for one, the good life for both

The honest truth about couples golf trips is that they live or die on what the partner does while the clubs are out. The South of France solves this better than almost anywhere. Stay at Terre Blanche in Tourrettes and the golfer has two championship layouts on the doorstep, while the spa, the hilltop village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup and the Riviera coast are all an easy reach for the other. Choose Domaine de Saint Endreol at Le Muy and you’re between the vineyards of the Var and the beaches of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez — golf in the morning, rosé and a harbour lunch in the afternoon. Or settle into Chateau de Servanes near Mouries, deep in Provence, where olive groves, Les Baux-de-Provence and the wine villages of the Alpilles are the partner’s playground while you take on the Servanes course.

If only one of you plays, that’s the point — we build the days so the golf never feels like time stolen from the holiday. If you both play, we simply add a second set of tee times.

The courses you'll actually want to play

This isn’t a region of one famous course and a lot of filler. From a Provence base you have Servanes at Mouries and Robert Trent Jones Sr.’s Pont Royal at Mallemort, a proper test wound through the garrigue. Saumane adds variety further into the Vaucluse, while Nimes Campagne and Nimes Vacquerolles give you two contrasting rounds near the Roman city of Nimes — one parkland-elegant, one more rolling and wooded. Towards the Riviera, the two layouts at Terre Blanche are among the finest in mainland Europe, and Saint Endreol at Le Muy throws in dramatic elevation and water that makes for a memorable card.

We pace the golf to your trip — a relaxed three or four rounds across a week leaves plenty of room for everything else, and we’ll book tee times that suit your mornings rather than the operator’s diary.

Where our specialists would stay in South of France

Effortless to book, and properly protected

Everything is tailor-made and enquiry-based, so you tell us your dates, who’s playing and the kind of week you want, and we come back with a clear all-in price in pounds — no piecing together flights, transfers, hotels and tee times yourselves. Your holiday is ATOL Protected, and your money is held in trust with PTS until you have travelled, so the deposit you pay today is genuinely safeguarded.

We arrange the South of France on a ground basis, with flights available as an add-on — handy if you’re travelling from the US or Canada and want us to build the trans-Atlantic legs and connections around your golf dates rather than booking them blind. If you’d rather travel with company, ask about our hosted and escorted group tours, where the golf, the dinners and the logistics are all taken care of and you simply turn up and enjoy it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the South of France good if only one of us plays golf?

It’s ideal. Venues like Terre Blanche in Tourrettes, Saint Endreol at Le Muy and Chateau de Servanes pair excellent golf with spa, beaches, vineyards and Provencal villages, so the non-playing partner has a full holiday of their own while you’re on the course. We design the itinerary so the golf days and the together days both feel like the point of the trip.

What does a couples golf holiday here cost, and how is it priced?

Tailor-made breaks start from £495 (≈ €565) (≈ $655) (≈ CA$925) (≈ AU$935) (≈ NZ$1,145) (≈ CHF 525) per person, quoted as a clear all-in price in GBP. Because we build each trip around your dates, your chosen venue — Terre Blanche, Saint Endreol or Servanes — and how many rounds you want, we price it by enquiry with no obligation. Your money is held in trust with PTS until you’ve travelled, and the holiday is ATOL Protected.

Which courses can we play?

From a Provence base you can play Servanes at Mouries, Pont Royal at Mallemort, Saumane, Nimes Campagne and Nimes Vacquerolles. Towards the Riviera you have the two championship courses at Terre Blanche and the dramatic Saint Endreol at Le Muy. We book tee times to suit a couple’s pace — usually a relaxed few rounds across the week.

We're travelling from the US — can you arrange flights?

Yes. We arrange the South of France on a ground basis with flights as an add-on, so we can build your trans-Atlantic flights and connections around your golf dates. For couples who’d prefer company and zero logistics, we also run hosted and escorted group tours.
