Golf Holidays for Couples in French Riviera
French Riviera By The Golf Planet Holidays Team · Golf-travel specialists since 1981 · Published 1 June 2026 At a glance Is the French Riviera good for a couple where only one of us plays golf? Yes — it’s one of the few destinations built for exactly that. While one of you plays Saint Endreol […]
There’s a particular kind of holiday that works for two people who don’t share every hobby — and the French Riviera is its spiritual home. Here, one of you can play some of the most celebrated golf in southern Europe while the other drifts between a spa terrace, a sun-warmed beach and a vineyard tasting, and the two of you reconvene each evening over rosé and the scent of pine and sea. It’s romantic without being staged, indulgent without being any effort at all.
At Golf Planet Holidays we’ve been arranging tailor-made golf trips since 1981, and the Côte d’Azur is one of our favourite places to send a couple. Whether you both play or only one of you does, we shape the week around the two of you — real hotels, real courses, real dinners booked in. French Riviera couples’ breaks start from £495 per person, priced around your dates, your rooms and exactly how much golf you want in the mix.
Golf for one, the good life for both
The genius of the Riviera as a couples’ destination is that the golf and the not-golf are minutes apart. While one of you tees off, the other isn’t stranded — they’re somewhere wonderful, and you meet back up before lunch is over.
Picture a morning at Domaine de Saint Endreol Golf & Spa near Le Muy: the golfer takes on Saint Endreol’s dramatic gorge holes while their partner unwinds in the resort’s spa, then you both find each other on the terrace. Or base yourselves at Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort at Tourrettes, where the two championship courses — the Château and the Riou — sit alongside one of the most lauded spas in the south of France. One of you plays 18 holes through umbrella pines; the other has a full morning of treatments, pool and Provençal sun. Nobody compromises.
For something more intimate and design-led, Le Mas Candille in the hilltop village of Mougins makes a romantic boutique base — perfumed gardens, a Shiseido spa and Michelin-level dining — with the courses an easy drive away. It’s the kind of place you choose when the holiday is as much about the two of you as it is about the round.
The courses your golfer will be talking about at dinner
The Riviera’s golf is genuinely good — not a token nine holes bolted onto a beach break, but courses that reward a proper golfer and give them something to recount over dinner. We can weave any of these into your week:
- Saint Endreol (Le Muy) — a wild, memorable layout cut through a rocky gorge, full of risk-and-reward tee shots and water.
- Terre Blanche — Château & Riou (Tourrettes) — two faultlessly conditioned championship courses, the pinnacle of resort golf on the coast.
- Esterel at Valescure and the historic Valescure course (Saint-Raphaël) — mature, pine-lined and full of character, the latter one of the oldest courses on the Riviera.
- Claux Amic (Grasse) — set in the hills above the perfume capital, with views down toward the sea on a clear day.
If only one of you plays, a couple of rounds across the week is usually the sweet spot — enough to feel like a proper golf trip, with plenty of time left for the two of you together.
Where our specialists would stay in French Riviera
And for the partner: spa, beach, wine and Provence
The non-golfing half of the trip is no afterthought here — it’s a holiday in its own right. Between rounds, the Riviera hands you the Mediterranean’s prettiest stretch of coast: the beaches and old harbour of Saint-Raphaël, the boutiques and galleries of Mougins, the perfume houses of Grasse, and rosé country a short drive inland through Provence.
The spas at Terre Blanche, Le Mas Candille and Saint Endreol are destinations in themselves, so a partner can happily spend a golf morning being thoroughly looked after. We’ll fold in the bits that make it feel like yours — a long lunch with a sea view, a vineyard tasting, a market morning, a dinner booked for two — so the week flows without either of you lifting a finger to plan it.
Booked your way, protected every step
Every Golf Planet Holidays trip is tailor-made and enquiry-based: you tell us your dates, your hotel leanings and how much golf you’d like, and we build and price the whole thing around the two of you, billed in GBP, from £495 per person.
You’re fully protected, too. We’re ATOL Protected, and your money is held in trust with PTS until you’ve travelled — so your deposit and balance are safe right up to the moment you arrive. Flights are an ATOL-protected add-on to your ground arrangements, which makes us a straightforward single point of contact for US and long-haul couples who want flights, hotel and tee times handled together rather than juggled across three booking sites.
If you’d rather travel in company, we also run hosted and escorted group tours from time to time — a relaxed way to meet other golfing couples while still having your own room, your own pace and your own evenings. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll take it from there.

Frequently asked questions
What if only one of us plays golf?
That’s exactly who the Riviera suits best. We build the itinerary so the golfer enjoys courses like Saint Endreol or Terre Blanche while the partner has spa, beach, shopping or wine country close by — then you reconvene for lunch and dinner. The number of rounds is entirely up to you; two or three across the week is a popular balance.
Which hotels do you use for couples on the French Riviera?
Our go-to bases are Domaine de Saint Endreol Golf & Spa at Le Muy and Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort at Tourrettes — both with golf and serious spas on site — plus the boutique Le Mas Candille in Mougins for couples who want something more intimate and romantic. We’ll match the hotel to your style and budget.
How much is a couples' golf holiday in the French Riviera?
From £495 per person. Because each trip is tailor-made, the final figure depends on your hotel, the courses and rounds you choose, your dates and whether you add flights. Send us an enquiry and we’ll price it precisely for the two of you, in GBP.
Is my money safe, and can you sort our flights?
Yes on both counts. We’re ATOL Protected and, as a UK specialist trading since 1981, we hold your money in trust with PTS until you’ve travelled. Flights are an ATOL-protected add-on to your ground arrangements, so couples flying from the US or further afield can have everything booked through one team.
