ABOUT THE GOLF COURSE
Play and stay at New Deauville Golf Club in coastal Normandy. The luxury resort is home to three loops of very good nine holes. New Deauville Golf Club is rated number 55 in France. The golf course was originally designed by Tom Simpson in 1929 and added to by Henry Cotton in the 1960s.
The red, white and blue nines are set on 70 hectares around Mont Canisy, just outside the classy resort of Deauville. The course is technical as there are challenges facing every shot. A good score beckons as the greens are true and the course isn’t overly long.
Surrounding the impressive four-star Hotel du Golf, New Golf Deauville is deservedly a holiday favourite.
It’s an ideal self-drive destination. It’s about three hours from Calais and the car will be invaluable for visiting the World War Two sites and Normandy towns.
