About Le Havre Golf Club
Le Havre is a decent parkland golf course often overlooked by golfers on holiday in this beautiful region. The course is convenient for the port of Le Havre or a drive down the coast from Dieppe. It's worth an away day from The Dormy House at Etretat or the Auberge de la Source at Honfleur. The clubhouse with its fireplace and warm welcome provides the ideal finish to this friendly and unpretentious golf club.

Our take
Overlooked is the right word for Le Havre, a flat and friendly parkland most visiting golfers drive straight past on the way from the port.
- Higher handicapsLevel walking all the way round, though water threads through far more of the parkland than you expect, so pack spare balls. When the Channel breeze gets going the course plays noticeably longer than the card.
- Solo golfersThis is a friendly, unpretentious club where a golfer travelling alone gets a warm welcome, and the clubhouse fireplace is the right way to end a cool Normandy afternoon.
- Buddy tripsIt makes a sensible away day from Etretat or Honfleur, and the bar afterwards suits a group that likes to replay the round hole by hole.
