Fancourt Golf Estate is the cornerstone, with three distinct courses — Outeniqua, Montagu and The Links — giving you a complete trip on a single estate. Along the coast, Pinnacle Point Golf Club at Mossel Bay plays out over dramatic cliffs above the sea, while Oubaii Golf Club at Herolds Bay sits in a folded coastal valley near George. Eastward, Simola Golf Club and Pezula Golf Club both look down over Knysna and its lagoon, and St Francis Links at St Francis Bay brings a windswept, links-inspired test to the eastern end of the route. Best time to play golf in Southern Cape
The Southern Cape is in the southern hemisphere, so its seasons are the reverse of ours — which makes it a genuine winter-sun golf escape. From November to March, while the UK is cold, the Garden Route is warm and well into its summer, ideal for combining golf with the coast. This stretch is the most reliable window for sunshine and long playable days. The shoulder months either side still offer pleasant conditions, and the region is greener and more temperate than the South African interior thanks to its ocean setting. Getting there
George is the regional airport for the Southern Cape and the most convenient arrival point for Fancourt and the Garden Route courses, typically reached via a connection through a major South African hub. From the UK, that means an international flight followed by a domestic connection into George. Flights are arranged as a separate, ATOL-protected add-on to your itinerary rather than bundled in — we are a ground-only operator — so you are free to use your own preferred routing if you wish. We will advise on the most sensible connections for your dates and handle the onward transfer to your base.
