A Buddies’ Golf Getaway to Mauritius
Mauritius By The Golf Planet Holidays Team · Golf-travel specialists since 1981 · Published 1 June 2026 At a glance How much does a Mauritius buddies' golf trip cost? The annual mates’ trip is sacred. It’s the one week a year where the only diary entries that matter are tee times, the group chat runs hot for months beforehand, and the biggest decision is who’s buying the first round at the turn. Get it right and it carries the lot of you through to next year. Mauritius gets it very, very right — warm Indian Ocean air, championship golf strung along both coasts, and the kind of relaxed pace where nobody’s clock-watching.
Golf Planet Holidays has been building tailor-made golf trips since 1981, and a buddies’ getaway is our happy place. You tell us the names, the dates and roughly how many rounds you fancy; we handle the courses, the hotels, the transfers and the tee-time tetris. From £649 per person, your only job is to turn up, play, and keep the banter flowing.
Two coasts, six courses, one very good week
The beauty of Mauritius for a group is variety without a long drive. Base yourselves and you can play Tamarina Golf Club carved into the dramatic west-coast hills, then swing across to the east for Anahita Golf, a Bernhard Langer design that flirts with the ocean on hole after hole. Down south, the Heritage Resort gives you two contrasting tests in Le Chateau — regularly rated among the island’s finest — and the newer La Reserve.
Want more? We can fold in Avalon Golf Estate inland, Mont Choisy Le Golf up north, and the celebrated The Links and Legend courses at Belle Mare Plage. For a group of four to eight that’s a genuinely full card — enough golf to settle every score on the group leaderboard, with enough left in the legs for the beach bar afterwards.
Built around your group, not a brochure
Here’s the bit that matters when you’re herding four to eight grown men with opinions: you don’t have to organise any of it. GPH is enquiry-based and tailor-made, so once you get in touch we build the whole itinerary to your group — which courses, how many rounds, where you sleep, how you get between tees. No two buddies’ trips we run look the same, because no two groups want the same thing.
One person enquires, one quote comes back, one deposit secures it. Your money is held in trust with PTS until you’ve travelled, and if you add flights it’s sold as an ATOL Protected package — so the trip is financially protected, not just a name on a spreadsheet. That’s the difference between a proper organised getaway and the usual scramble of WhatsApp polls and someone’s brother-in-law ‘knowing a guy’.
Where our specialists would stay in Mauritius
Hassle-free golf, however hands-on you want it
Some groups want the freedom to do their own thing between rounds; others — especially first-timers to Mauritius or larger parties — would rather have everything shepherded. We can arrange hosted and escorted group golf so transfers, tee times and check-ins are handled on the ground, leaving you to concentrate on the only stats that count: handicaps, side bets and bragging rights.
Either way, you arrive to a plan that works. Tee times sequenced so nobody’s playing Anahita on three hours’ sleep, transfers timed so the slow-getting-ready mate doesn’t cost you the first slot, and hotels chosen to match your group’s budget and mood — from the polish of Heritage to options that keep the per-head price keen.
Flights, value and getting it booked
Trips start from £649 per person and are billed in GBP. We can quote ground-only if you’d rather sort your own flights, or package the lot — flights included and ATOL Protected — for one clean, protected booking. For US-based members of the group, Mauritius lands as serious value once you compare a week of championship golf and ocean-front hotels against equivalent resort golf back home; we’ll cost flights from your gateway as part of the quote so the whole crew sees one transparent number.
The trips that go best are the ones we start planning early — the marquee tee times at Heritage, Anahita and Belle Mare Plage book up, especially in peak months. Send us the group size, your rough dates and how many rounds you’re after, and we’ll come back with an itinerary the whole chat can finally agree on.

Frequently asked questions
What's included from £649 per person?
The from-price is your starting point for a tailor-made Mauritius golf trip in GBP, covering accommodation and golf as the core of the package. Exactly what’s bundled depends on your group size, dates, chosen hotels like Tamarina or Heritage, and the number of rounds. Transfers and flights can be added — flights as an ATOL Protected package — and we’ll set it all out clearly in your quote before anything’s confirmed.
How many courses can we realistically play in a week?
Plenty. Mauritius keeps its golf close together by island standards, so a group can comfortably play several of Tamarina, Anahita Golf, Heritage’s Le Chateau and La Reserve, Avalon, Mont Choisy Le Golf and The Links & Legend at Belle Mare Plage across a week — with time left for the beach and the bar. We sequence the tee times so the schedule feels relaxed, not relentless.
Is our money protected if something goes wrong?
Yes. Golf Planet Holidays holds your money in trust with PTS until you’ve travelled, so your funds are safeguarded throughout. When you add flights, the trip is sold as an ATOL Protected package. That’s genuine financial protection for the whole group, not just a booking confirmation in an inbox.
Can you handle everything for a larger group of mates?
That’s our speciality. For groups of four to eight we build the full itinerary — hotels, tee times across multiple courses, transfers and optional flights — into one booking with a single point of contact. We can also arrange hosted or escorted group golf so the logistics are shepherded on the ground, leaving your group to focus on the golf and the banter.
