We recently used Golf planet Holidays for our annual golf trip to Spain, I can honestly say that the service provided was second to none, an absolutely first class experience.. well done the team at Golf planet holidays..
About Sherry Golf Course
Sherry Golf course is under 20 years old but already a fine vintage. The manicured fairways amid genuine Andalucian countryside provide a surreal but highly-enjoyable experience where the front nine focuses around large fairways and perfectly-placed bunkers and the back-nine challenge is all about water. Hilly in parts. One mile west of Jerez.

Our take
Two courses in one at Sherry: generous fairways and clever bunkering going out, then water on almost every hole coming home.
- Serious golfersThe back nine is the examination, with water waiting nearly every hole, and the 3rd going out plus the 17th late on are where good cards come unstuck. Barely any wind here, so there are no excuses about conditions.
- Higher handicapsEnjoy the wide fairways on the front nine while you can, because the water after the turn is greedy. Pack extra balls, and with a fair bit of climb in parts a buggy is a sound call.
- SocietiesA mile from Jerez with a clubhouse restaurant for afterwards, and enough danger on the watery back nine to settle the day's bets late in the round.

What you are actually facing
The walk. Moderate. 153 metres of climb over the round.
The wind. The wind is usually south-easterly, averaging 9 km/h, gusting to 35. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
The water. 15 hazards in play. Bring a few more balls than you think you need.
The design. Stirling & Martin (Global Golf Company).
The holes that will cost you. The 17th, the 3rd and the 18th. The 1st is the one you will be talking about afterwards.
