Description
ABOUT THE GOLF COURSE
Play and stay at Saint Malo Golf Club in Northern Brittany. The golf on site is a very slick 27 hole parkland course, designed by Hubert Chesneau. With a Slope Rating of 140 and 6700 yards off the back tees, it’s no slouch either.
Saint Malo has just entered the Top 100 courses in France at number 80. The golf course has matured over the last few years into a very impressive and enjoyable test of golf with generous fairways, a fair amount of water (more aesthetic than testing) and some large American-type bunkers.
It’s worth a warm-up as the course is challenging for the first few holes. After that, it’s a consistently good and fair course with the overall emphasis on strategy more than brute strength.
The restaurant is excellent and we have top-value golf-dinner-golf packages at the on-site hotel, and there’s a nice nine-holer to have some fun on after lunch. You can also include this in your itinerary if staying at Dinard or Dinan.
