ABOUT THE GOLF COURSE

Hanbury Manor Golf Course, Hertfordshire,  is a previous host to the English Open. The course was first built by Harry Vardon around the manor in 1890. One hundred years later, Jack Nicklaus II updated the design to provide a highly enjoyable game of golf.

With cleverly sited trees and a variety of water hazards, it offers a true challenge to any level of golfer. One of our favourite holes is the 13th – a dog-leg par four requiring a solid drive to the corner and a mid/long iron in to the two-tiered green.  Good enough to have hosted the European Tour on several occasions. Immerse yourself in the resort with a stay  at Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel and Country Club.
