About Golf del Sur Golf Club
The course at Golf del Sur on Tenerife is made up of three loops of nine, of which a combination of the North and South courses provide the biggest challenge.
For example, the second hole on the South course is 213 yards, has an island green and is surrounded by black sand. Plus, your short game will be scrutinised as you endeavour to counter the swirling breezes. A very enjoyable round. Easy walking. Six miles east of Playa de las Americas.

Pepe Gancedo gave Golf del Sur three loops of nine, black sand in the bunkers and a swirling breeze that never quite leaves your short game alone.
- Serious golfersCombine the North and South nines for the strongest test. The 213-yard island-green 2nd on the South, ringed by black sand, is worth the green fee by itself.
- Higher handicapsEasy walking with barely a slope on it, so legs are never the issue. Judging half shots in the swirling breeze is trickier, so take one more club and swing softer.
- Buddy tripsSix miles east of Playa de las Americas, close enough for a morning round and an afternoon back at the resort, and three nines let a group vary the routing all week.

Play the North and South combination for the biggest challenge, headlined by the 213-yard second on the South, with its island green and black sand all around. Be warned though: the swirling breezes put your short game under proper scrutiny, so scrappy chippers will have their patience tested.
Which nines should we play at Golf del Sur?
The North and South pairing provides the biggest challenge, so ask for that combination if you want the full test. The course is made up of three loops of nine, which gives you a different 18 to try on a second visit. The full course plays as a par 72 over 18 holes, and it is easy walking, so you will not be worn out.
