South of France By The Golf Planet Holidays Team · Golf-travel specialists since 1981 · Published 17 October 2025 At a glance Can I really go on a golf holiday on my own in the South of France? Yes, and travelling solo here is a pleasure. You play courses like Servanes at Chateau de Servanes […]
Booking a golf holiday on your own can feel like the hardest tee shot of the lot. You want the limestone fairways of Provence, the long Mediterranean evenings, a week of proper golf, but the thought of standing on the first tee as a single can be enough to make you put it off another year. It needn’t be.
A solo golf holiday in the South of France with Golf Planet Holidays means you travel alone and play the week entirely your way. We arrange every detail, from green fees at Servanes to your transfer at Le Muy, so you simply turn up and play at your own pace. You bring your clubs and your handicap; we handle the rest. From
Travel alone, play at your own pace
The single golfer is the one we’ve quietly built the most around. When you book a solo trip with us, you’re not left to wrestle with the logistics: we sort the tee bookings, the transfers and the running order, so you arrive and play. Walk up the first at Servanes in Mouries, take in Pont Royal near Mallemort, enjoy a quiet test at Saumane, all at the pace that suits you.
If you’d like some company on the course, most Provence clubs are happy to pair a single golfer with others on the day; if you’d rather have the peace, a quieter tee time often means a round to yourself. That part is the course’s call on the day rather than something we would pretend to arrange. Either way, your evenings are yours, and the welcome in this part of France is relaxed and easy.
The courses and venues, all real, all arranged
We don’t deal in mystery resorts. Your week is built around genuine Provence golf we book directly. Stay at Chateau de Servanes in the heart of Les Baux de Provence, at Domaine de Saint Endreol near Le Muy with its dramatic gorge holes, or at Terre Blanche in Tourrettes, one of the finest addresses in the south.
On the course, the choice is rich: the parkland of Servanes in Mouries, the Seve Ballesteros-shaped Pont Royal at Mallemort, the quiet test at Saumane, and the two contrasting Nimes courses, the elegant Nimes Campagne and the wooded Nimes Vacquerolles. Pine, limestone, vines and warm stone villages, a fortnight’s worth of variety inside a week.

You book through a specialist that’s been arranging golf travel since 1981. Golf Planet Holidays is ATOL protected, and your money is held in trust with PTS until you’ve travelled, so your payment is safeguarded from the moment you confirm. For golfers travelling from the US, we bill in GBP, often a quiet win against the dollar, and can add ATOL-protected flights into Marseille or Nice, or build the ground arrangements around flights you’ve already booked. Frequently asked questions
Will I be on my own all week?
Only if you want to be. You play courses like Servanes, Pont Royal and Saumane at your own pace, and keep your evenings as free or as social as you choose. If you’d like company on the course, most clubs are happy to pair a single golfer with others on the day; a quieter morning can mean a round to yourself. That’s the course’s decision on the day rather than something we arrange.
Is there a single supplement?
It depends on the venue and dates. Because your trip is tailor-made rather than packaged, we price your room honestly for solo occupancy and tell you the figure up front, whether you stay at Chateau de Servanes, Domaine de Saint Endreol or Terre Blanche. No surprises buried in the small print.
Is my money protected if I book a solo trip?
Yes. Golf Planet Holidays is ATOL protected, and your money is held in trust with PTS until you have travelled, so your payment is safeguarded from the moment you book. We’ve been arranging golf travel for British golfers since 1981.
I'm travelling from the US. Can you still arrange this?
Yes. We bill in GBP, which often works in your favour against the dollar, and we tailor the trip to your arrival airport. Flights aren’t included by default, but we’ll happily arrange them as an ATOL-protected add-on, or build the ground arrangements around the flights you’ve already booked into Marseille or Nice.
