Type “singles golf holidays” into Google and most of what comes back is either a dating angle or a coach tour. Neither is what the golfers who call us actually want. What they want is simple: to get away and play good courses without waiting for friends to commit, without sharing a room with a stranger, and without the trip turning into an organised social club.
So here is the straight version of what we do. Golf Planet Holidays has arranged hand-built golf breaks since 1981. We do not form groups and we do not host escorted singles weeks. We build the trip around you alone, with your own room as standard, green fees and every transfer included in the price, and tee times booked before you leave home. The playing company sorts itself out at the course, and we explain exactly how below.
What a singles golf holiday with us actually looks like
You tell us your dates, your budget and the courses you fancy. One specialist, a real person who has played or booked these venues for years, comes back with a plan and a single price: hotel, your own room, green fees, transfers and tee times, all in. No supplement conversations with a call centre, no waiting for a group to fill.
Then you travel on your own terms. Breakfast when you like, practice ground if you want it, and a tee time that is yours. The rhythm of the week belongs to you, which is precisely the point.
Where single golfers over 50 actually go
In the UK, England is the easy first trip: solo golf breaks in England start from

Where our specialists would stay in England
The over-50s part, honestly
A good number of the solo golfers we look after are over 50. Some are recently retired with time on their hands at last. Some have lost a regular fourball to age or geography. Some simply have a partner who does not play. None of them want a minibus itinerary, and that is why the solo format works: the golf is properly arranged and the independence is untouched.
One honest caveat. If what you really want is a ready-made social group for the whole week, dinners included, we are the wrong company, and a hosted tour operator will suit you better. Where we win is everything else: better courses, your own room, your own pace, and company on the tee whenever you want it.
Booked properly, protected properly
Your money is held in trust with PTS until you have travelled, and when we book your flights the trip is ATOL protected as well. You deal with the same specialist from first email to your return home. Tell us the courses on your list and how sociable you want the week to be, and we will build the rest around you.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a single supplement on your golf holidays?
Your own room comes as standard and every trip is priced individually for one traveller, with green fees and all transfers included. Tell us your dates and we will give you the exact figure in GBP with no obligation.
Am I too old for a solo golf trip?
No. Golf is the rare sport where a 70-year-old and a 30-year-old share a tee quite happily, and clubs pair single golfers of every age on the day. If walking a course matters to you, we will steer you towards flatter layouts or include a buggy.
Which destination is best for a first singles golf holiday?
England, honestly. A short drive, no flight to think about, and resorts like Carden Park and Forest Pines where everything is on one site, from
Is my money protected if I book alone?
Yes. Your payment is held in trust with PTS until you have travelled, and flight-inclusive trips are ATOL protected. Solo travellers get exactly the same protection as a group of twelve.
