France is jam packed with so many good golf courses it is easy to spend your French Golf Holiday driving from one excellent course to another, but there are great options with golf on-site or nearby.
Southern Brittany has that winning combination of superb accommodation, restaurants and appealing courses that you will want to return to again and again.
La Bretesche is a beautiful, tranquil course surrounding the equally attractive five star Domaine de la Bretesche and excellent self-catering cottages. You may want to pop out on an evening for a stroll and meal in the quayside town of La Roche-Bernard but the superb hotel restaurant or your own kitchen in a well-equipped cottage gives you the perfect opportunity to kick back, relax and enjoy a bottle (or two!) of French wine and gaze out at the wildlife.
On the coast, La Baule is the ideal base if you enjoy looking out at the lively Atlantic Ocean and playing your choice of the nearby Red and Blue La Baule courses. The Hotel Barriere L’Hermitage is everything you would expect from this luxury group. Make sure you fill up on the impressive breakfast before heading out for a day on the course.
You can fly, drive or sail down to your French Golf Holiday in south-west France. A deservedly popular stay and play resort for our clients is Golf du Medoc, which ticks all the boxes for gastronomy, wine tasting, golf, spa and top notch accommodation.
Les Chateaux and Les Vignes are the two outstanding courses outside the hotel’s front door, with Les Chateaux named as the best course in France in 2014.
You can pair a French Golf Holiday here with a stay in the cosmopolitan beachside resort of Biarritz and its surfeit of incredible golf courses on its doorstep, including Le Phare, opened in 1888, Arcangues and Chiberta.
If you really want to abandon the car for your Golf Planet holiday then Chateau des Vigiers near Bergerac should be high on your list. You can fly into Bordeaux or Bergerac, the latter is probably best if you want to book a private transfer to the resort, and then enjoy this stunning hotel with 27 amazing holes, winding their way through the vineyard. The accommodation has something for everyone from the glorious chateau, the dependances or the modern Relais building, designed with the environment in mind.
Treat yourself to a meal in the gourmet restaurant or relax in the casual Le Chai brasserie. We have to recommend a meal out at the nearby Famille Moutier. It’s a night out you will never forget. It’s an incredibly laid back family owned venue and is a must for duck lovers. The wine flows freely but beware of booking a taxi there as the cost for the short journey can be prohibitive. It’s the one time we would recommend you dig out your car keys and someone is the designated driver!

Frequently asked questions
How much does a golf holiday in Brittany cost?
Tailor-made golf breaks in Brittany start from £385 per person, including your hotel, green fees and airport transfers. Every package is built around your group, dates and handicaps.
Do you arrange flights to Brittany?
Flights can be added as an ATOL-protected option, or you book your own and we handle everything on the ground — private transfers, tee times and buggies.
Is my money protected?
Yes. Every booking is financially protected through Protected Trust Services (PTS) — your money is held safely in trust until you have travelled. Flight-inclusive trips are also ATOL protected.
Can I tailor the trip?
Always. We don’t sell off-the-shelf packages — every Brittany break is built personally around your group, your preferred courses and your dates.
