Domaine de la Bretesche is the most complete “boutique” resort in France. Nowhere else offers a 5-star hotel, self-catering cottages, a golf course, a brasserie, restaurant and a spa…All in an idyllic lakeside setting. It is no surprise that La Bretesche is among our top three destinations for “repeat clients”, as it hits the mark every time.
The hotel is in the main manor house and features rich and welcoming bedrooms. The Club Rooms are small but fine for short stays and any other category being suitable for longer stays. The Montaigu restaurant overlooks the lake and the converted stables provide a unique and cosy beginning and end to your evening.
Le Club Brasserie is in the clubhouse just across the courtyard where you’ll find a lovely terrace and the entrance to the spa.
The four-star cottages are also popular as they give you the flexibility and freedom of having your own kitchen and space. Choose from adjacent to the hotel or the very private cottages in the woods running alongside some of the fairways. You know that at any time you can enjoy the service and facilities of the five-star hotel.
There is a decent bakery, good butcher and a supermarket as well as plenty of other shops and restaurants in the nearby port town of La Roche Bernard.
