ABOUT THE COURSE
The word is out on Terras da Comporta Dunas golf course, the stunning new creation near Lisbon, Portugal. Opened in October 2023, this outstanding design by David McLay-Kidd, has already been named as the World’s and Europe’s Best New Golf Course at the 2023 World Golf Awards. It is already numbered ninth in the Top 100 Golf Courses in Continental Europe 2023/24, the highest ever ranking for a new golf course.
Just over an hour from Lisbon, Terras da Comporta Dunas runs along the Atlantic coastline. The links course makes the most out of the beautiful natural setting to create a challenging par-71 layout. There are six tees on each hole so players can find their own level, opting for either a relaxed game or a true test as they plot their way around the 84 hectares. There’s a 50-bay driving range to prepare yourself for the game and an attractive clubhouse to relax in and muse over the day.
Be ready for the second 18-hole golf course, deisgned by Sergio Garcia, which will open early next year.
