About Ribagolfe
There are two good 18-hole golf courses at Ribagolfe, Coruche south of Lisbon. Ribagolfe I has been rebranded as Ribagolfe Lakes and Ribagolfe II as Ribagolfe Oaks.
The first course is slightly tricky with narrow fairways and some water to contend with. The second golf course is more comfortable with wider fairways and large greens. Easy walking. 34 miles north of Setubal.

Two contrasting 18s share one quiet estate south of Lisbon: the Lakes to test you, the Oaks to console you.
- SocietiesThirty six holes on one site, half an hour from Lisbon, is exactly what a golf society wants. Play the tighter Lakes course for the competition day and let everyone loosen up on the Oaks.
- Buddy tripsBook both courses back to back and settle the argument over which of you handles the Lakes' narrow fairways best. Flat walking and little wind this far inland, so 36 holes in a day is genuinely doable.
- Higher handicapsStart on the Oaks, where wide fairways and big greens let you play your own game. The Lakes course brings water and narrow driving lines, so save it for a brave day.

The wind. The wind is usually north-westerly, averaging 11 km/h, gusting to 33. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
