About Golf Santa Ponsa 1
Host to the Balearic Open for a number of years including an epic six hole play-off between Seve Ballesteros and Jesper Parnevik (Seve eventually triumphed!). The open layout encourages you to rip into those drives, although with several dog-legs and an intelligent use of water you need to take care not to get too ambitious. Easy walking. Ten miles from Palma.

Seve needed six extra holes to win the Balearic Open here, and Santa Ponsa 1 still asks the same question: how brave are you off the tee?
- Serious golfersThe open layout begs for driver, but the dog-legs and fifteen separate patches of water are where the course bites back. Pick your line from the tee and it opens up; get greedy and the card unravels fast.
- Higher handicapsWide landing areas and a completely flat walk make this an approachable round for a course with this pedigree. Lay up short of the water on the dog-legs and you can score; take it all on and you'll be reloading.
- SocietiesFlat underfoot, ten miles from Palma and open enough that a mixed-ability group all get round in decent time. The clubhouse restaurant handles the post-round inquest.
