About Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club
Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club demands precision play. Set amid the hills outside Marbella, Los Arqueros enjoys spectacular scenery and great views over the Mediterranean. It's not a long course so it's a chance to try your irons from the tees. A good holiday course with buggies recommended. Seven miles west of Marbella.

Our take
Los Arqueros hides in the hills seven miles west of Marbella, a short, tight Seve Ballesteros design that cares far more about your irons than your driver.
- Serious golfersLeave the driver in the bag and treat the tee shots as positional. The 6th and the 8th are the two that decide most matches, and neither forgives a loose line in.
- Higher handicapsThe lack of length helps, the terrain does not. These hills make a buggy essential rather than a luxury, and wayward tee shots rarely come back.
- Buddy tripsA handy pick for a Costa del Sol week, with Los Naranjos, Santa Clara, San Roque and La Canada all close enough to build the rest of the trip around.

The walk. Hilly — we would take a buggy. 279 metres of climb over eighteen holes.
The wind. The wind is usually northerly, averaging 7 km/h. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
