Stay & play — fromAbout Limassol Greens
Limassol Greens is the latest addition to the increasingly impressive golf courses on Cyprus. Designed by the renowned Cabell Robinson (Aphrodite Hills, Finca Cortesin), this 18-hole course is here to challenge and delight. Wide Bermuda Green fairways feature pot bunkers to test your game. The course design reflects its natural surroundings with particularly scenic views from holes 5 and 6. Buggies are included, though the Championship course is walkable. Golfers sometimes opt to pick up a buggy after the front nine.
- Buggies included
- State-of-the-art practice range
- Stay at Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris, Paphos.
Our take
Limassol Greens opens with one of its hardest holes, so do not judge the day by the 1st; once through it, Cabell Robinson's wide Bermuda fairways give you room to swing.
- Serious golfersThe pot bunkers are the point here, dropped exactly where a confident line wants to go, and the 9th has a habit of taking a shot back just when the front nine looks settled.
- Higher handicapsKinder than its championship billing. The fairways are wide, the wind rarely gets up, and buggies come included, though there is little enough slope that walking is no hardship.
- CouplesThe prettiest stretch comes at the 5th and 6th, and with Limassol close by for lunch and the evenings this is an easy golf day to share with someone who plays less.

What you are actually facing
The walk. Flat, and an easy walk — 27 metres of climb over the round.
The wind. The wind is usually south-westerly, averaging 10 km/h, gusting to 34. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
The water. 9 hazards in play. Bring a few more balls than you think you need.
The design. Cabell B. Robinson.
The holes that will cost you. The 9th, the 1st and the 16th. The 9th is the one you will be talking about afterwards.
