About Laguna Golf Course
A lovely contrast to many of the Algarve courses, Laguna is a coastal links to all intents and purposes and great fun. Architect Joseph Lee laid out the course over low lying coastal terrain. The result is very different from the other courses at Vilamoura.
Lots of bunkers and water comes into play but it’s a good layout and only punishes silly shots. Come here to get your game back!

Vilamoura's confidence restorer, a flat coastal layout that plays like a links and only punishes the genuinely silly shot.
- Higher handicapsThe Vilamoura course to book when the game needs rebuilding. Barely 60 metres of climb all round, wide low-lying ground, and though the bunkers and water look busy the course was practically built for finding your game again.
- Serious golfersNot the sternest card in Vilamoura, but the breeze across the open coastal ground does the defending and the 5th and 17th still ruin plenty of scores. Come here to attack and post a number.
- SocietiesFlat walking, a free shuttle from the Vilamoura hotels and a clubhouse restaurant for afterwards. It works nicely as the opening round of a mixed-ability week, forgiving enough to keep every standard of golfer moving.
