Description

It’s easy to see why Hardelot, Northern France is a popular choice with Golf Planet Holiday clients.  The elegant members’ golf club is home to two great courses each with their own distinct identity and clubhouses.  Les Pins is the older of the two golf courses at Hardelot and is just a mile from its sister course, Les Dunes, and 30 minutes from Le Touquet, the best known holiday resort in Northern France.

Hardelot Les Pins, designed by the revered Tom Simpson,  is more than 80 years old and the original testing design has  improved even more over time. It’s a majestic course which takes you on an epic journey from the very first shot.  The rough is penal and the bunkers look deceptively easy. Of course it lives up to its name with plenty of pine trees which often appear to be like magnets to your golf ball.

The clubhouse is traditional with a pleasant terrace for sunny days.  Arrive early for a browse in the shop, particularly the sale rail.

The two Hardelot golf courses, Les Pins and Les Dunes,  are just a short distance from the impressive selection of hotels in this small holiday town. The three-star Hotel du Parc, the two-star Le Regina and the three-star Les Jardins d’Hardelot are all to be recommended. There is a good selection of restaurants in the beach side town centre. Hardelot is just 30 minutes from Le Touquet and many golfers opt to stay there and travel to Hardelot for their golf games. It’s easy to see why Hardelot has been a popular short golf break destination for 40 years. To its everlasting credit Hardelot Golf Club does not rest on its laurels and each year brings further improvements to the courses and the clubhouses.
