Our take

The younger of Hardelot's two courses, Les Dunes sits a mile from Les Pins and is cleverer than it first appears.

Hardelot Les Dunes Golf Club: your questions answered

Is Hardelot Les Dunes worth playing?

Yes, especially if you pair it with Les Pins, its sister course just a mile away. Les Dunes is the younger of Hardelot's two courses and very picturesque, and because it is not overly punishing it suits mixed-ability groups and society trips as well as stronger players who will enjoy working out its clever design.

How difficult is the Les Dunes course?

Les Dunes is not too tough, which makes it a genuine holiday course for mixed abilities, but it is not a pushover either. The layout is clever and it is well worth studying each hole before you strike from the tee. One honest caveat: it is quite hilly in parts, so expect a few climbs during the round.

Is Les Dunes a links course?

Yes, Les Dunes is a links, playing to a par of 72 over 18 holes, designed by Paul Rollin and Jean-Claude Cornillot. It is quite hilly in parts, so expect some climbing, and the design is clever enough that it pays to study the layout of each hole before you strike from the tee.

Can I play both Hardelot courses on one trip?

Yes, and it makes sense to. Les Dunes sits just a mile from Les Pins, so a 36-hole day or back-to-back rounds across two days are both easy to arrange. Your Golf Planet Holidays specialist books the tee times on both courses and sorts the transfers between your hotel and the golf, so the logistics are handled for you.

How much does a golf holiday at Hardelot cost?

There is no fixed package price for Les Dunes on its own; the cost depends on your hotel, how many nights and rounds you want, your dates and your group size. Golf Planet Holidays prices trips per person with green fees built in, and a specialist will put a quote together around your dates. Enquiries are free, with no payment or obligation, and quotes arrive by email.

Can I book Hardelot Les Dunes through Golf Planet Holidays?

Yes. Golf Planet Holidays has been hand-building golf trips since 1981 and is rated 4.9 on Google. A named specialist plans the whole trip, books your tee times at Les Dunes, including hard-to-get slots, and arranges transfers between your hotel and the courses. Trips are ground-only with flights as an optional add-on, PTS protected, and ATOL protected where flights are included.

Frequently asked questions

Golf holidays in France — answers to the questions our golfers ask most.

How long is LeShuttle crossing time to France

The Eurotunnel LeShuttle from Folkestone to Calais takes about 35 minutes, which makes a self-drive trip genuinely easy for the Northern France golf resorts. Le Touquet, Hardelot and the courses around the Somme are roughly two to three hours on from Calais, so you can load the clubs, drive on and be on the first tee the same day, and on those breaks we can include the crossing in the price. For the south and southwest, such as Biarritz, the Riviera and Provence, most golfers fly into Nice, Marseille, Biarritz or Bordeaux and we arrange transfers on the ground.

How much does a golf holiday in France cost?

Golf holidays in France start from £235 (≈ €275) (≈ $315) (≈ CA$445) (≈ AU$445) (≈ NZ$545) (≈ CHF 245) pp with Golf Planet Holidays. That is a tailor-made ground package, and the final price depends on your hotel, the courses you play and the season.
