At 5,168 yards the West sounds like the soft option; the tight fairways and small greens say otherwise.
- Serious golfersTreat it as a precision session; the fairways are tight, the greens small, and the smart play is often an iron off the tee, with the 1st and 10th still costing shots if you get greedy.
- Higher handicapsThe par 68 yardage is friendly and the slopes are manageable, but the small greens mean the short game does the scoring; a sensible second round on a 36-hole day.
