Golf Planet Holidays organised a fantastic golf trip to France for us. Everything was perfectly arranged, and the communication was excellent. Simon and Heather were incredibly helpful throughout. Highly recommended!
About Chateau des Sept Tours
Chateau des Sept Tours is a fairytale hotel encircled by its own 18 hole golf course.
Dating back to the 15th-Century the Château Golf des Sept Tours was transformed into a hotel 30 years ago. All the 22 bedrooms are in the chateau where you will also find a convivial bar and the hotel's gourmet restaurant.
The adjacent L'Orangerie is where you will find t he clubhouse and brasserie restaurant, a more relaxed alternative to the gourmet restaurant in the main chateau building.
The on-site golf course meanders through ancient woodland and features a little water, quite small greens and well-placed bunkers. The fairways are narrow and the course is not overlong, so it’s all about strategy. Other nearby courses include the excellent Touraine, the modern Ardree and the very pretty Bauge Bontigne: are all under 40 minutes’ drive and the Sable Solesmes is well worth the hour’s drive.
You are deep in the heart of Chateau country here. Chateau de Langeais is in the next village and Chateau de Villandry close by. You can also enjoy a river boat cruise on The Loire river.
For a week away as a couple or with a group of friends, Chateau des Sept Tours offers the most French of French Golf Holidays. It's also a great two-centre hotel if you want to explore the Loire from east to west.

Secluded Loire château
Chateau des Sept Tours is about seclusion, so be straight with your group. The nearest village, Courcelles-de-Touraine, is a 4km drive rather than a walk, and nothing sits within strolling distance of the gates, so evenings centre on the château itself. That suits most golf groups fine. Non-golfers have somewhere to point the car, with four attractions within a short hop, including Château de Champchevrier at just under 5km and the Ancienne Hôtellerie Saint-Louis at around 4km. If yours is a late-nights crowd, look elsewhere; if you want the Loire countryside to yourselves, this fits. Tell us who's coming and we'll match the base to your group's evenings.

Nothing is within strolling distance and the nearest village is a 4km drive; evenings here are quiet, and that is rather the point.
