Golf Holidays in Paphos
Paphos By The Golf Planet Holidays Team · Golf-travel specialists since 1981 · Published 2 June 2026 At a glance Where should I play golf on a Paphos holiday? Paphos is Cyprus’s golf heartland, with four acclaimed courses within easy reach. Aphrodite Hills Golf — home to PGA National Cyprus — is the headline, a […]
On the south-western tip of Cyprus, where Aphrodite is said to have risen from the sea, Paphos has quietly become one of the Mediterranean’s most rewarding golf destinations. Four distinctive courses — clifftop, mountain, olive grove and valley — sit within a short drive of one another, framed by warm limestone, pine forest and an almost endless run of sunshine.
This is golf with a sense of place: mornings on a Faldo fairway, afternoons in a harbour-front hotel, evenings over Cypriot meze as the light softens over the sea. A tailor-made Golf Planet Holidays itinerary lets you choose exactly which courses to play, where to stay and when to go — shaped around you, not a fixed package.
The courses: four ways to play Paphos
The star is Aphrodite Hills Golf, home to PGA National Cyprus — a championship layout carved into the cliffs above the coast, its signature 7th sending you driving across a deep ravine to a green perched on the far side. Inland, Minthis Golf Club climbs to 550 metres around an ancient monastery, a cooler, contemplative round through vineyards and pine. Elea Estate Golf Club, designed by Sir Nick Faldo, weaves through carob and olive trees with the Mediterranean glinting beyond, while Secret Valley Golf Club lives up to its name, hidden in a natural amphitheatre of rock formations and citrus groves. Play all four and no two days feel alike.
Where to stay
Paphos rewards matching the hotel to the mood of your trip. For a beachfront base close to the harbour and old town, the Constantinou Bros Athena Royal Beach Hotel and the Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris Beach Hotel & Spa offer relaxed, sun-filled comfort. The elegant Annabelle brings a touch of grown-up glamour to Paphos seafront, with lush gardens running down to the water. For golf on the doorstep, the Aphrodite Hills Hotel by Atlantica and the villas and townhouses of Aphrodite Hills Rentals place you within the resort itself — first tee, spa and tavernas all a short stroll away.

Why tailor-made beats a package
A fixed package decides your courses, hotel and tee times for you. We do the opposite. We build the week around the golf you actually want — perhaps three nights at Aphrodite Hills for the championship courses, two by the harbour at the Annabelle for the evenings — and arrange transfers, tee reservations and any extras to suit. Want a buggy guaranteed, a late checkout before a final round, or a non-golfing partner well looked after at the spa? That is the point of bespoke. As a tailor-made operator since 1981, we sweat those details so the holiday flows.
When to go
Paphos is one of the most reliable year-round golf destinations in the Mediterranean. The shoulder seasons — March to May and September to November — are the sweet spot, with warm, settled days perfect for walking 18 holes and balmy evenings afterwards. Winter remains mild and the fairways stay green, making it a tempting bolt-hole when British golf grinds to a halt. High summer is hot but very playable with an early tee time, leaving long afternoons for the beach, the pool or the archaeological wonders of the old town.

Frequently asked questions
How many golf courses are there in Paphos?
Four within easy reach: Aphrodite Hills Golf (home to PGA National Cyprus), Minthis Golf Club, Elea Estate Golf Club and Secret Valley Golf Club. Each has its own character — clifftop, mountain, olive grove and valley — which is what makes Paphos such a satisfying multi-course week.
How much does a Paphos golf holiday cost?
Tailor-made itineraries start from around £486 per person and rise with your choice of hotel, courses and dates. Because we price each trip individually rather than selling a fixed package, you only pay for the golf and accommodation you actually want.
Is my Paphos golf holiday financially protected?
Yes. Golf Planet Holidays is ATOL Protected, and your money is held securely in trust with the PTS until you return home — so your holiday is safeguarded from the moment you book. Flights are arranged as an ATOL-protected add-on to our ground-only golf and hotel arrangements.
When is the best time to play golf in Paphos?
Spring and autumn are ideal for warm, dry rounds, while Cyprus’s mild winters make Paphos a superb escape when British courses are closed. Summer is hot but very playable with early tee times. In short, Paphos offers genuine year-round golf.
