ABOUT THE GOLF COURSE

Terre Blanche is probably the most acclaimed and awarded resort in France since it opened nearly 15 years ago. Originally a Four Seasons Resort, Terre Blanche knows how to do things well and what it takes to have a “wow” factor. The two golf courses are no exception with world-class maintenance and facilities and a priceless location in Provence.

Designed by Dave Thomas, Le Chateau is the championship course and has hosted the Challenge Tour and Senior Tour. Le Chateau is No.14 in Europe according to Golf World and is a wonderful mix of challenges – mostly target but some traditional parkland holes too. It’s a big course in every respect.

Thomas also designed the less daunting but equally beautiful Riou. Measuring 6600 yards off the back, it’s narrower than Le Chateau and the greens are quite tricky too.
If money is no object, Terre Blanche is probably the best all-in-one resort for high-end golfers in Europe with top-class accommodation and dining, 36 holes of excellent golf and tuition possibilities that are good enough to attract several touring pro’s. Put all this anywhere and it will be very good. But put it in Provence and it’s outstanding.
