Royal Cromer Golf Club is one of sixty six golf courses around the world holding the Royal title, bestowed by the British Royal family. Originally designed by Tom Morris of St Andrew fame, the links course features generous fairways and panoramic cliff top views. Tom Morris introduced the concept of strategic rather than penal bunkers and an ongoing programme is reestablishing this concept. A game at Royal Cromer is an excellent trip into golf's history. A warm welcome awaits you in the clubhouse.

Our take
Few English courses carry as much history as Royal Cromer, where Old Tom Morris laid generous fairways along the clifftop and the sea breeze does the rest.
- Serious golfersOld Tom's strategic bunkering asks you to plot from the tee rather than just avoid trouble, and the club is restoring that original thinking. The 10th and 11th, back to back, are where matches swing.
- Higher handicapsThe fairways are forgiving, which you will appreciate once the clifftop breeze starts shoving the ball around. Take an extra club, keep it under the wind, and there is a very playable course here.
- CouplesOne of only sixty six Royal clubs in the world, with cliff views over the town and a genuine sense of playing through golf's history. It makes a fine centrepiece for a few days on the Norfolk coast.
