The two courses at Vaucouleurs, Les Vallons and La Riviere in Normandy are vastly different, but equally enjoyable. We like this remote golf club with its 36 holes of good well-maintained golf and massive farmhouse clubhouse.
The inland links of Les Vallons is so different from the other courses in the area and who doesn’t like playing bump and runs to tricky and well-defended greens? Just over 6100 yards, it’s fun and pretty and sharpens you up for the other challenging courses in Normandy.
La Riviere is a bigger golf course in every respect, measuring nearly 7000 yards off the back and two cunning water hazards and plenty of bunkers and it’s relatively hilly.
A good golf club with convivial atmosphere and excellent rates for our clients. it is ideally located for your holiday golf itinerary whether you are playing golf in Normandy or around Versailles.

Thirty-six holes at a remote Normandy club, and the inland links of Les Vallons plays nothing like anything else in the area.
- Serious golfersLes Vallons asks for a different game: bump and runs into tricky, well-defended greens rather than darts through the air. At just over 6,100 yards it is short enough to leave the driver in the bag, and it will sharpen your short game properly.
- Higher handicapsDead flat, no climb to speak of, so 36 holes over two days is no hardship. Water crops up fourteen times across the property though, so pack a spare sleeve of balls.
- SocietiesTwo genuinely different courses, one huge farmhouse clubhouse, and a remote spot that rarely feels busy. For a group wanting 36 holes in a day without a scramble for tee times, it fits the bill nicely.
