About Hotel Jardin Tecina
Located on the peaceful island of La Gomera, Hotel Jardin Tecina and Tecina Golf have spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and towards Mount Teide on Tenerife. The hotel is set in 70,000 m2 of extraordinary vegetation with 350 species of plants from all over the globe. The hotel, which opened in 1987, is now shut until December 6 2024 for a substantial renovation. The Tecina golf course will remain open and can be played on a day trip from Tenerife.
The 424 bedrooms will retain their Canarian style but all aspects, including flooring and bathroom, with be modernised. The adults only area is expanded to include 18 villa suites and 12 Floresta rooms with garden or side sea views. The public areas, including the buffet restaurant, are being redesigned to improve the layout and to give a light and airy feel to the impressive space. The substantial pool area is being re-terraced and the beautiful gardens will be as impressive as ever.
Tecina Golf is a short distance away and there are walks and cycle rides all over the island.
Fans of Jardin Tecina will appreciate the improvements and new guests will enjoy the quality of this four-star hotel.

Life away from the course at Hotel Jardin Tecina
Quiet beach and harbour front
Everything you need for the evening is on foot here. Playa de Santiago beach begins about 100 metres from the hotel, the harbour at Puerto Playa de Santiago is under a kilometre along the front, and Splash Gomera is a couple of hundred metres away. Within walking distance you have 13 restaurants, five bars and four cafes, which is plenty for a golf week without ever needing a taxi. The nearest village, Alajeró, is nearly six kilometres away, so plan on eating close to the water most nights. Tell us who's travelling and we'll point you to the spots that suit your group.
