About Golf Villamartin
Villamartin golf course presents a game of two halves. There is the hilly front nine with great views and requiring tactical play and then a softer back nine, with the occasional ravine to keep you on your toes. This is where the natural terrain and geography come into play. It makes for a challenging round of golf without much water and a few short par-fours so a decent score should be possible.

Our take
A round of two halves at Villamartin: a hilly, tactical front nine with long views, then a softer run home interrupted by the odd ravine.
- Higher handicapsShort par fours mean real scoring chances and there is not much water to swallow a ball. Most of the climbing comes early on the hilly front nine, so the legs work hardest before the turn and the softer back nine eases up.
- Serious golfersPlacement off the tee decides the tactical front nine, and the ravines on the back can flip a card in one swing. The 5th and 14th do most of the damage here.
- SocietiesSuits a mixed-ability society: most of the field posts a score, the softer back nine is kind to tired legs, and the two-halves routing gives the bar plenty to argue over.
