The Championship Lakes Course at 6831 yards and multiple water hazards offers a great test to all golfers. Long drives, accurate irons and solid putting will bring the very best out of this course.
Woodside contrasts with the Lakes course in many ways – it is well worth playing both if you are here on a weekend golf break. The undulating fairways and natural hazards need careful negotiation – this is a real ‘thinkers’ course for all players. The four-star hotel includes a relaxing spa and your choice of restaurant and brasserie.

With 36 championship holes, a nine hole par 3 course and a four star hotel on one Lincolnshire estate, Belton Woods is built for staying put and playing plenty.
- Serious golfersAt 6,831 yards the Lakes wants long straight driving, committed irons over the water and a putter that behaves. It is the sterner of the two courses and the one to play off the tips.
- Higher handicapsWater is the story on the Lakes course, it comes into play again and again, and trouble arrives early at the 2nd and 5th. Pack spare balls and the round is far more fun.
- SocietiesEverything a society weekend needs sits on site, two contrasting courses in the Lakes and Woodside, a par 3 for the evening shootout and the four star hotel right there for the debrief.
- Buddy tripsThe ground is so gentle, barely 15 metres of climb, that 36 holes in a day is entirely realistic. Play the Lakes in the morning while the group is fresh, then let Woodside settle the bets.

The walk. Flat, and an easy walk — 15 metres of climb over the round.
The wind. The wind is usually south-westerly, averaging 14 km/h, gusting to 44. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
