About Cornouaille Golf Club
Golf de Cornouaille , in this beautiful and timeless south-west corner of Brittany, has matured and improved over its 60 plus year history. The golf course is a pleasure to look at and play and worth a trip out on your Brittany golf break.
Six miles from L’Odet Golf Club but otherwise secluded as far as other courses go, Cornouaille measures just under 6300 yards from the back with a par 71.
Originally laid out by Fred Hawtree in 1959 and extended and redesigned by Martin Hawtree in 1992, Cornouaille becomes more testing as the round progresses. It's not a difficult course and you'll enjoy this oasis of calm.

Our take
A parkland that rewards patience over sixty years of maturing, so long as your card survives the 1st and the 4th.
- Serious golfersCards get wrecked early here; the 1st and the 4th are the two hardest holes on the course, so there is no gentle warm up. Par those two and the rest of the par 71 is a fair fight.
- Higher handicapsAround 120 metres of climb makes this a moderate walk rather than a stroll, and the breeze freshens through the round, so a trolley and an honest tee choice go a long way. Survive the start and a score is there.
- CouplesSixty odd years of maturing have left a course that is a pleasure simply to look at, six miles from its nearest golfing neighbour in a quiet, timeless corner of south west Brittany. Ideal for an unhurried break for two.
