About Golf Chateau de la Tournette
Golf Chateau de la Tournette is home to two formidable 18 hole courses. Set in a superb rural landscape both courses feature a host of bunkers and lakes. The English course resembles an inland links with big, elevated greens well-protected by pot bunkers, while the American course begins in woodland before testing your ability with its own ‘Amen Corner’ on the back nine. 12 miles south-west of Waterloo.
- 36 holes
- Buggies
- Clubhouse - Restaurant
- Play alongside Hainaut, Bercuit, Pierpont, 7 Fontaines, Rigenee
Our take
Twelve miles from Waterloo, La Tournette gives you two genuinely different 18-hole courses and enough lakes to keep every group honest.
- Buddy tripsA natural self-drive long weekend from the Channel; play the English course one day and the American the next, then settle the arguments over dinner in the clubhouse.
- Serious golfersThe English plays like an inland links, raised greens ringed by pot bunkers, while the American saves its teeth for its own Amen Corner on the back nine; between them the lakes swallow plenty.
- SocietiesThirty six holes, a clubhouse restaurant and flat walking all day make this an easy place to run a golf day, and the two-course rotation keeps a big group fresh across a weekend.

What you are actually facing
The wind. The wind is usually south-westerly, averaging 12 km/h, gusting to 45. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
The water. Water is very much in play across this course. Bring a few more balls than you think you need.
The design. Martin Hawtree (English course).
