About Apremont Golf Club
Apremont Golf Club is a parkland course just outside Chantilly.
Chantilly, north of Paris, is home to impressive golf courses and this is no exception. Apremont Golf Club is in a tranquil setting cutting through a beautiful pine forest.
Designed by American John Jacob and Oliver Dongradi it is a familiar design for British golfers. There are some great holes and overall it's a very fair challenge requiring clever play on the front nine along a series of doglegs. The back nine holes are straighter but are designed to put your swing to the test. With a par of 72 Apremont Golf course is loved by golfers for its consistent condition and the calm atmosphere. Easy walking.
Originally Japanese owned, Apremont boasts a huge clubhouse with high-class dining in La Tour d’Apremont and a simpler bistro and bar.

Our take
Apremont is the gentler day at Chantilly, a flat parkland cut through pine forest where the front nine asks for clever placement rather than muscle.
- Higher handicapsDead flat, barely a breath of wind most days, and only four water hazards to worry about. The pines punish the properly wild, but a steady mid-handicapper will come home with the ball they started on.
- Buddy tripsThe design feels instantly familiar to British golfers, so nobody wastes six holes working it out. Slot it in as the opener or the recovery round on a Chantilly trip and keep the sterner tests for fresher legs.
- CouplesTranquil is the right word: quiet pine forest, no climbing whatsoever, and a fair test that lets you chat between shots rather than grind. One of the easier walks you will find in this corner of France.

What you are actually facing
The wind. The wind is usually south-westerly, averaging 11 km/h, gusting to 34. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
The water. 4 hazards in play. Bring a few more balls than you think you need.
The design. John Jacob and Oliver Dongradi.
