Golf on the Garden Route along South Africa’s Southern Cape is always popular with Golf Planet Holidays’ clients. Many head straight off in hire cars after landing at Cape Town International Airport. Alternatively, you can spend some time around the Western Cape enjoying city life and the wineries. Then jump into a car and head off on this magnificent drive and play golf on the Garden Route.
Leave plenty of time to cover the 300 kilometres of good roads on the Garden Route. You will want to stop and enjoy the sparkling beaches on one side and breathtaking landscape on the other. Stay in wonderful guest houses in beautiful coastal towns, such as George and Knysna.
We really recommend the guest houses on the Garden Route. The accommodation is immaculate, and your hosts will ensure you enjoy your time in their town.
In addition, you can include a stay at the famous Fancourt Golf Resort with three excellent golf courses to test your game.
WHERE TO STAY ON THE GARDEN ROUTE
Knysna is an excellent base for a great golf and sightseeing holiday on the Garden Route. Play the lovely golf courses around this very pretty, touristy town. You have your pick of the very enjoyable local courses such as Knysna. Alternatively, we can reserve you tee times at Pezula, a very special resort to while away the day.
Spare an afternoon to take a lagoon cruise to spot the amazing sealife and then dine out on your adventures in the mouthwatering seafood restaurants.
Back in the car, drive on to Plettenberg Bay or even further to the wild and wonderful St Francis Bay. You can fly back to Cape Town from Port Elizabeth, if you prefer, or enjoy your journey in reverse.
