Golf Holidays for Couples in Morocco
Morocco By The Golf Planet Holidays Team · Golf-travel specialists since 1981 · Published 1 June 2026 At a glance Is Morocco a good golf holiday for couples where only one of us plays? It’s one of the best. The golf is concentrated around Marrakech and Agadir, where the resorts pair championship courses with full […]
Some holidays make you choose between the round you’ve been dreaming about and the time you want to spend together. A golf break in Morocco doesn’t. Here, the fairways are some of the most striking in the Mediterranean reach — palm-fringed, framed by the snow-tipped Atlas Mountains — and a few footsteps away there’s a hammam, a beach, a rooftop at sunset and a souk full of colour for the partner who’d rather not carry a bag.
At Golf Planet Holidays we’ve been arranging tailor-made golf trips since 1981, and Morocco has quietly become one of our favourite places to send couples. One of you plays, or both of you do — either way the days fall into an easy rhythm of golf and indulgence. From £496 per person, we shape the whole thing around the two of you, so the only thing you have to decide is who books the spa and who books the tee time.
Golf for one, indulgence for both
The quiet genius of Morocco for couples is that the golf and the romance live in the same place. The courses sit inside resorts built for relaxing, so the golfer’s tee time and the partner’s spa morning happen a few hundred metres apart — then you meet for a long lunch in the sun.
For the golfer, the line-up is genuinely special. Around Marrakech you have The Montgomerie Marrakech, designed by Colin Montgomerie with the Atlas Mountains as a backdrop; Amelkis Golf Club, a long-standing favourite with mature, palm-lined fairways; and Al Maaden Golf Club, a sculptural, modern design dotted with water and contemporary art. Down on the coast in Agadir, Golf Tazegzout tumbles through argan trees with ocean views, and Golf du Soleil offers a relaxed, walkable round that’s perfect for an easy holiday day.
For the partner, the same days fill themselves: a hammam and massage, a slow morning by the pool, the colour and chaos of the Marrakech souks, or the wide Atlantic beaches at Taghazout Bay. Neither of you compromises — you simply spend the day your way and come back together for the evening.
Where you'll stay
We hand-pick hotels that work for two people with different ideas of a perfect morning. In Marrakech, the Pickalbatros Hotel du Golf Marrakech Palmeraie sits in the leafy Palmeraie with golf on the doorstep, while the Mövenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi places you minutes from the medina with a serious spa and elegant rooms — ideal if one of you is heading to the old city while the other heads to the first tee.
On the coast, Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay in Agadir puts you between the golf and the beach, with the relaxed surf-town feel of Taghazout right there — long lunches, sunsets over the Atlantic, and Golf Tazegzout and Golf du Soleil close at hand.
Whichever base suits you, we match the hotel to the kind of trip you want: medina buzz or coastal calm, golf-first or spa-first. That’s the advantage of building it around you rather than handing you a fixed package.
Where our specialists would stay in Morocco
Effortless from the first enquiry to the last green
A romantic golf break shouldn’t come with a spreadsheet. You tell us roughly what you’re after — the two of you, a handful of rounds, somewhere with a great spa and good food — and we come back with a tailor-made itinerary and a single clear price in GBP. Tee times, hotel, private transfers between airport and course, the lot.
Every holiday is ATOL Protected, and your money is held in trust with PTS until you’ve travelled — so the only thing on your mind is which course to play first. We’re a tailor-made specialist working by enquiry, not an instant-checkout site, because the best couples’ trips are the ones shaped to fit, not bought off a shelf.
Travelling from the US? Morocco still works beautifully — strong value against the dollar and good connections via Europe — and we can fold international flights into the picture and tee up timings to suit a transatlantic arrival. Prefer company on the trip? We also run hosted and escorted group tours from time to time, so couples who fancy a bit of camaraderie can play alongside other golfers and still keep their evenings to themselves.

Frequently asked questions
Which Morocco courses are best for a mixed-ability couple?
If both of you play but at different levels, Golf du Soleil in Agadir and Amelkis in Marrakech are forgiving, walkable and enjoyable for all standards, while The Montgomerie Marrakech and Al Maaden give a stronger player something to test themselves on. We’ll tailor the round mix to your handicaps so nobody feels out of their depth or under-challenged.
Can you arrange spa, beach and non-golf days for my partner?
Absolutely — it’s central to how we plan a couples’ trip. Our Marrakech and Agadir hotels offer hammams, spas, pools and beach access, and we can suggest medina tours, coastal days at Taghazout Bay and dinners out, so the non-golfing days are every bit as memorable as the golf.
Are flights included, and what about travelling from the US?
Our holidays are quoted as a tailor-made package and we’ll always make the flight position crystal clear in your quote. From the UK, Morocco is a short hop; from the US it’s a strong-value escape with good connections through Europe, and we can build international flights and arrival timings into your itinerary on request.
How do I book, and is my money protected?
Booking starts with a simple enquiry — tell us your dates, who’s playing and what you’d love your partner’s days to look like, and we’ll build a tailor-made quote in GBP. Every holiday is ATOL Protected and your money is held in trust with PTS until you’ve travelled, so you can plan with complete peace of mind.
