Buying Christmas gifts is never easy and this year could prove harder than ever. The ardent golfer has probably bought everything they need, and more, during the lockdowns, but here are a few ideas to surprise them.
Biodegradable tee pegs. It’s about time these entered the market. We have tried and tested the castle tees from BrandFusion Ltd, they look identical to plastic tees and don’t snap easily. At £2 a packet for 20 wooden tees, they are a good stocking filler. Even the packaging is biodegradable.
Personal Folding Golf rake. It could be some time before we are all allowed to share rakes and this is a handy one for your golf bag. It’s lightweight and the rake part folds vertically to take up less space in your golf bag. At £10 it’s great value and useful. You can also buy a mini golf rake, which is just the head and snaps onto a club, though this is a bit fiddly. These come in at around £7. Both are available on ebay.
Tilley hat. Tilley has been making outdoor hats for 40 years. They are so well made and durable that the original ones are still in many golf bags. They have now introduced a version with an extra wide brim which is great for golfers. They wash easily and keep their shape. They are on the pricey side, starting at around £70 but watch out for special deals.
Let’s start dreaming of holidays now. Would a new golf travel bag be on the cards? The old one has been in the shed for so long now the mice may have had a feast. There’s a great choice on the market, even some with wheels, but check the weight as it can impact on your luggage allowance. Prices start from £30 and the sky’s the limit depending on how many extras you want.
Talking of dreaming…how about a session with a golf hypnotist! We’ve been chatting to Steve Woods who is working with golfers up and down the country to help them bring consistency to their golf game. This could be the best present ever! Gift vouchers for specific courses tailored your golfer’s particular concerns about their game are available at £197.
