About Tenby Golf Club Golf Course
Tenby Golf Club is the Oldest Affiliated Golf Course in Wales and one of the finest links courses in the Principality. Those who find their way to this beautiful corner of Pembrokeshire will be richly rewarded with a classic links experience. The undulating fairways have been 'over 120 years in the making', with golf having been played on this land since circa 1875. Conveniently situated close to Tenby Town Centre, Tenby Golf Club is easily accessible by car or train. The classic links course is renowned for its natural rolling terrain, superb fast, true greens and spectacular sea views; traversing the links land between the railway line and the sea. The local motto is "When it rains it drains", due to the sandy links sub soil, so no wading through muddy conditions. Consequently, electric buggies are usually available for use on the course all year round.

Our take
Golf has been played on this ground since around 1875, and Tenby is still Wales at its most traditional: an honest Braid links with the town on its doorstep.
- Serious golfersJames Braid's fingerprints are all over the routing, and the near-constant coastal wind demands you keep the ball under the breeze. The 1st bites before you have loosened up, and the 14th is the round's reckoning.
- Higher handicapsThe ground itself is friendly, with only 50 metres of climb across the whole round, but the near-constant sea breeze demands at least one extra club. Swing easy and run the ball in low.
- Buddy tripsClose to Tenby's pubs and reachable by train, it is an easy links to build a weekend around. Fair warning: the opening hole has wrecked plenty of scorecards before the first pint.
- Solo golfersEasy to reach by train and right by the town centre, so you can do this one without a car or a crowd, at a club that has welcomed travelling golfers for well over a century.
